Membership Committee

- Actively recruit at least 100 new members through membership
drives, targeted recruitment efforts, etc
- Encourage active participation on the committees, volunteer
events, etc.
- Maintain the membership database.
- At least monthly communication to the members through e-mail,
mailings, and web-site updates.

Social Committee

- Coordinate the annual Buena Park social events such as Halloween,
Block Party, Buena Bunnies, and the Holiday Adopt-A-Family.
- Develop and continue other events in the neighborhood such
as Music in the Park, Kid/Family events, etc.

Business Development Committee
- Chair: Shelby Bakken
- Email: Business Mailbox
- Develop a printed directory of current businesses in the neighborhood
to supplement the online directory. Distribute the directory to
new residents of the neighborhood in addition to those who may
not have Internet access.
- Create a promotional packet of materials and data to encourage
businesses to locate in Buena Park.
- Work with current business owners to develop an advisory forum
or panel to foster the growth of current and future businesses
in the Buena Park.

Beautification Committee
- Chair: Lisa Bauer

- Increase the safety and sanitary conditions in the neighborhood.
- Work with Buena Park citizens, businesses, and organizations to create awareness for projects needed in the Buena Park.
- Encourage local business and citizens to take pride in their property and neighborhood, offer resources, and encourage beautification of the neighborhood.

- Update and maintain the Buena Park website - www.buenaparkneighbors.org
- Work with all of the committees to develop the website and
communicate information accordingly.
- Work with membership to communicate to the membership more
efficiently.

On the BPN Message Board, neighbors
can post their views and concerns regarding neighborhood issues.
Please take a moment to review the rules for the Message Board:
We welcome users to comment and discuss issues
within Buena Park. We offer this as a free exchange of information and request that
you adhere to our Rules. In order to make this experience enjoyable and informative
for everyone involved we have created some guidelines, please take a moment to review
our rules before posting to the Discussion Board. Thank you.
- Do not post any lewd, obscene or malicious messages aimed to slander anyone for any reason.
- Absolutely no profanity.
- Absolutely NO pornography.
- No advertisements or solicitation of the sales of any products.
Please remember to respect each other and others ideas and opinions.
The BPN Board reserves the right to delete any message that violates these rules.
If a user persists breaking the rules they will be barred from posting to this site.
To report abuse of these rules please email us.
The BPN Board will review the posting to determine if the offending message should be removed
and possibly be barred from posting messages.
